We are currently preparing students for jobs that don’t yet exist … using technologies that haven’t been invented … in order to solve problems we don’t even know are problems yet.”

Tech Xpert Student Ambassadors self-manage a weekly help desk to provide real-time troubleshooting support for common issues related to 1:1 devices in the school such as access to email, network connection, sound, camera, power issues, missing desktop icons, hardware, web browser, soft resets, etc.​ They provide an additional layer of support for the school’s assigned Digital Device Ambassador and assist in the decrease of inoperable devices ​

Students serve as invaluable resources in the classroom by becoming technology experts in digital technologies used by teachers in the classroom,  such as Teams, Microsoft applications, Nearpod and Flipgrid. Students build 21st century skills such as critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, communication, technology literacy, and leadership while fostering creativity and innovation through real-world applications.

Our program is closely aligned with the state of TN Digital Readiness K-8 Computer Science Standards focusing on coding and computer programming, foundational concepts and operations, communication and collaboration, analytical and innovative thinking, digital citizenship, and information storage and access. Students attend learning sessions to deepen knowledge around coding, STEM, robotics, eGaming, game design, mobile app development, physical computing, artifical intelligence, augmented and virtual reality and more.  

Students not only become proficient in cutting-edge technologies, but at the end of the program, students and teacher-facilitators  earn a Microsoft industry certification, setting them up for success in their academic and professional endeavors.  It is our overall objective that our Tech Xpert Student Ambassadors, not only master tech skills but become leaders in this digital age.  During our Tech Xpert Summer Immersion Program, students visited local tech companies and colleges to gain exposure to courses and careers in the field of technology.
